Revival Starts Here

Have you ever wondered how Jesus can help you with your day-to-day issues? We hope you find the topics below helpful.

A Bully

When you’re being bullied, it can feel really scary and sad. But Jesus is always with you, and He cares about how you feel. Jesus knows what it’s like to be teased and treated unfairly, because people did that to Him too. You can talk to Him anytime, and He will listen and give you strength. Jesus wants you to remember that you are special, loved, and made by God—what others say does not change that. He also teaches us to be kind and brave, even when others are not. If you’re being bullied, it’s important to tell a trusted adult who can help, and to remember that Jesus never leaves you alone. With Him, you can find courage, peace, and the reminder that you are loved just the way you are.

Isaiah 41:10“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Matthew 5:44“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Comparing Ourselves

Sometimes it’s easy to look at other people and wish we were more like them—maybe they’re taller, faster, better at sports, or get better grades. But when we compare ourselves to others, we can forget how special God made each one of us. Jesus reminds us that we are each created by God on purpose and for a purpose. He doesn’t want us to try to be like someone else—He wants us to be the best version of ourselves.

When we start to feel “not good enough,” we can talk to Jesus in prayer and ask Him to remind us of the truth: that we are loved just as we are. In the Bible, it says we are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10), which means He made us wonderfully unique! Jesus helps us find joy in who we are and teaches us to celebrate others without feeling less about ourselves. With Him, we can learn to stop comparing and start being thankful for the gifts He gave us.

Galatians 6:4“Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else.”

1 Samuel 16:7“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Dealing with Friends

Friends are really important! They can make us laugh, play with us, and help us when we’re sad. But sometimes friendships can be hard—maybe a friend hurts our feelings, leaves us out, or we don’t know how to make new friends. That’s when Jesus can help.

Jesus is the best example of a true friend. He is always kind, forgiving, and loyal. He never leaves us, and He loves us no matter what. When we spend time with Jesus—by praying, reading the Bible, or talking to Him—we learn how to be a better friend to others. He teaches us to share, forgive, and show kindness, even when it’s not easy.

Jesus can also help us choose good friends who encourage us and treat us with respect. And even if we ever feel lonely, we can remember that Jesus Himself is our forever friend who will always be with us.

John 15:12–13“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.”

Anxiety

Sometimes we feel worried or scared—like when we have a test at school, when something bad might happen, or when we just don’t know what’s going to come next. That’s called anxiety. It can feel like a heavy weight in our hearts. But Jesus doesn’t want us to carry that weight alone—He wants to help us.

The Bible tells us to give our worries to Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). That means we can pray and say, “Jesus, I’m scared right now, but I trust You to take care of me.” When we do this, Jesus gives us peace in our hearts, even when things around us still feel hard.

Jesus also reminds us that we don’t have to be afraid, because He is always with us. Just like a loving friend who never leaves our side, He promises to stay close and guide us through the tough times. When anxiety shows up, we can remember that Jesus is bigger than our fears, and He will help us feel calm and safe.

Philippians 4:6–7“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

John 14:27“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Fear

Everyone feels afraid sometimes—like being scared of the dark, worried about getting hurt, or nervous about something new. Fear can make our hearts beat fast and our minds race. But Jesus wants us to know that we don’t have to face fear alone—He is always with us.

The Bible says that Jesus is like a shepherd who takes care of His sheep. That means He protects us, guides us, and never leaves us. When we feel afraid, we can pray and ask Jesus to give us courage. He reminds us that God is stronger than anything we’re afraid of.

Jesus also fills our hearts with peace. Instead of letting fear control us, we can remember His promises: that He loves us, He is near us, and He is bigger than anything scary. With Jesus, we can take a deep breath, stand tall, and face our fears knowing we are never alone.

John 14:27“Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Joshua 1:9“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
